This role reports to both the CFO and the HR Manager and will have primary responsibility for the Company’s general ledger & variable compensation administration. Position will be responsible for reconciling GL accounts at month end, analyzing global (US & Canada) commission and incentive expenses, and preparing monthly commission and incentive statements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with accounting to create and maintain GL of accounts
  • Monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Create and review journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting
  • Balance general ledger for monthly financials and provide to Management
  • Work with accounts receivable and accounts payable to complete month end closing entries
  • Work with accounting to ensure month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing deadlines are met
  • Work with accounting to ensure financial reporting requirements are met and in accordance with GAAP
  • Create & provide employees monthly commissions globally and quarterly bonuses in accordance with contractual terms and record to general ledger
  • Work closely with Finance and Sales Leadership, including Sales Operations, to ensure data accuracy and calculations are correct
  • Serve as the team’s main point of contact for incentive related requests. Inquiry examples include commission payment calculations, payment dates, policy interpretation, corrections, adjustments, etc.
  • Work with HR to provide and deliver annual sales policies & compensation plans
  • Prepare monthly commission & bonus accruals for accounting
  • Analyze commission payouts and ensure expenses match revenues
  • Other duties as required

Requirements and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 3 years financial analysis and accounting required
  • 2-3 years of experience in commissions and sales compensation required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent education/experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with & NetSuite preferred
  • Exceptional general ledger and related reconciliation experience
  • Must be highly analytical and audit minded
  • Able to use resources effectively to generate solutions; takes initiative when resolving problems
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high level of accuracy
