Endpoint Security - Respond to Threats Entirely Locally

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery—and we agree! Today we saw other endpoint security vendors promote their “streaming prevention.” Well we say “welcome to the club guys,” because this isn’t a new technology.

In fact, CounterTack’s event-driven behavioral detection has been around for years. Not only has Sentinel offered traces and origins for years, but we have also had stream-based prevention for over a year (currently available in next month’s product release that we are showing at booth s1221). 

Not only is CounterTack the pioneer in stream-based detection, but we are taking it to the next level. We know that streaming prevention isn’t enough to mitigate fast acting threats. These threats will wreak havoc before the analysis is complete and response is sent back to the endpoint, particularly in a cloud-based setting. This is why in our latest release with Endpoint Threat Platform, we are not only enabling stream-based automated responses, but we are also pushing specified response policies down to the endpoint protection. The endpoint security can respond to threats entirely locally with no cloud or analysis latency, even when it is disconnected from the network.
